Standardisation

The Deutscher Email Verband is involved in the relevant standardisation processes at both national and international level.

National standardisation

The Deutscher Email Verband is actively involved in standardisation work via employees from the enamel industry. This is carried out nationally, e.g. in the Materials Testing Standards Committee (NA 062-01-63 AA, formerly NMP 163).
Further information can be found on the homepage of the Deutsches Institut für Normung e.V. (German Institute for Standardisation).

International standardisation

At international level, product standards are continuously being developed and revised.

The EEA – European Enamel Association, which was founded on the initiative of the national enamel associations from Belgium, Germany, Great Britain, Austria and the Netherlands, is also active in this field. Its main task is to define uniform quality standards for enamelled products.
This work has resulted in the Quality Guidelines Manual, which is now in its fifth edition.
